Mel Brooks - US actor, comedian, & movie director

Mel Brooks, a person of multiple talents belongs to the class of Academy Award winning American actors. He was also a writer, a director and a producer. He was known for the creation of comedy parodies. Starting as a stand up comic he later moved into movies where he worked as an actor, a director and a producer. His first film, The Producers won an Oscar for the Best Original Screenplay.

Some of his most popular films as an actor are Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles.
He later went into the production of films and set up his own company, Brooksfilms which produced a number of movies which include The Fly Frances, 84 Charing Cross Road and My Favorite Year. As a career highlight, he is one of the select few who received an Oscar, Emmy, Tony and Grammy for his contribution to films
